Rianna - Red Pelican Teacher

Rianna

Raised in a military family, Rianna grew up traveling the world before settling in Omaha, Nebraska, at age 11. That same year, she discovered her passion for music, learning guitar, piano, and violin. By 14, guitar lessons sparked her love for performance and rock music, and at 17, she expanded her musicianship further by taking drum lessons.

In 2020, Rianna auditioned for Berklee College of Music and was awarded the prestigious Jimmy Lyons Scholarship, a full-tuition honor given to only one student each year. She graduated in 2024 with a degree in Guitar Performance and a minor in the Theory of Jazz and Popular Song. During her time in Boston, she has played as the lead guitarist in multiple bands, performing at venues such as Brighton Music Hall and the Berklee Performance Center.

Alongside performing, Rianna has over three years of teaching experience, offering private lessons in guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Today, she continues to write and produce original music, collaborate with fellow artists, and hone her guitar craft. Outside of music, she enjoys cooking gourmet meals for friends, running in nature, and practicing yoga and meditation.

Rianna’s mission is to inspire the next generation of rockers to be unapologetically themselves and to embody the representation they want to see in the music industry.
