Filipa was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and has been spreading the magic of music for 8 years in Los Angeles and 13 years in total including Europe and Asia. She is classically trained and a professional musician that specializes in piano and flute. Although her classical training, she can easily surprise you by playing the latest music hits as well. Filipa will teach you composition, improvisation, music theory, solfeggio, and ear training.

She received her high school diploma from the National School of Music Lyubomir Pipkov. There she played as a soloist with the Sofia Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, the National School of Music Lyubomir Pipkov Youth Brass Band, and the Pioneer Orchestra. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from the National Academy of Music Prof. Pancho Vladigerov. She is a prize-winner in many Bulgarian and international competitions. Amongst them is The International Summer Academy Prag-Wien-Budapest /Vienna/; First Special Award for performing French Music from the International Competition for Instrumentalists and Composers Earth and People and many more! Filipa has performed piano and flute on stage since the age of ten. She has given recitals on many occasions and performed solo with symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles in the US, Germany, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Austria, Denmark, Greece, Macedonia, and Bulgaria. She has performed in Osaka, Japan for 1 year (2016-2017) as a flutist at The Ritz Carlton Hotel and also performed piano and flute in Jeju Island, South Korea for 6 months, while performing at the annual Jeju International Music Festival as well.

Regardless of your level, experience, or goals her mission is to help all of her future students achieve success in music for a lifetime. As a member of the “Music Teachers’ Association of California” and by using the “Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music” educational system, her teaching is a combination of two unique by themselves music schooling methods. The incorporation of the American and British Music Systems enables her students to enjoy and master music as they have never before.
