Thomas has a wealth of music knowledge, and an easygoing, organized, style that makes him a terrific teacher for folks of all ages. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Thomas is a multi-instrumentalist – he specializes in guitar and ukulele, but also enjoys teaching drums and charango.* Stylistically, Thomas teaches rock, blues, jazz, classical, flamenco and more. He combines these mainstream styles with years of living in Argentina, just in case you’d like to explore the rich music of South America.
Thomas is an active composer – He has written music for Verizon advertisements, shows on TBS and done music editing for Comedy Central.
Thomas’ teaching philosophy is that the best way to learn, is when it is a fun and challenging experience at the same time. The goal is to build your skills, while learning to play the music you love, with grace and technique. He is always eager to help students expand their musical vocabulary and enjoys customizing his lessons to fit the musical interests of each student.
Thomas is fluent in both English and Spanish, and enjoys working with students of all ages.
