Marc loves teaching! He has developed an approach that emphasizes individuality and student choice. Marc believes that it is never too early (or too late!) to start playing and have fun making music.
Marc grew up in the Boston area, where he studied piano, drums, bass and guitar from a young age. His early experiences watching seasoned musicians play around town left a mark on him, and informed a foundational view for his teaching: music excites, inspires, and connects people – music helps us to better ourselves through our relationships with others.
Marc attended the New England Conservatory, earning a degree in Jazz Performance. Shortly after graduating he moved to Chicago, where he lived for ten years, making a name for himself as a drummer and pianist. While based in Chicago, he toured Europe with multiple bands and ensembles. He also nurtured a ragtime piano obsession, committing all of Scott Joplin’s rags to memory!
Marc has recently relocated to Los Angeles, where he is soaking up the local music scene, and continuing to do what he loves most – teaching music!
